baking with my b’studs.

There is something special about living life with the same pals through the years.  Every Monday morn, I gather with these group of sweet ladies at Starbucks from 6-7 AM.  We discuss a chapter or two of a book that inspires, stretches and challenges us. We just completed not a fan. by Kyle Idelman, and we are currently digging into Richard Stearns’ book, The Hole in Our Gospel. The conversations are honest and deep…not bad for 6 AM! Right?

We share life experiences and pray for each other…we cover issues of parenting and marriage…sickness…aging parents…work…family dynamics and more. Joys are shared and burdens carried.  Life is richer traveling with these chicas.

Oh yeah…we also bake cookies! Yep, this just happened Monday night!  Good times! [Thanks Shirley for your mad knitting/crocheting skills to make us all cozy headbands!] This year’s treats included raspberry short bread cookies, krumkake, rosettes, melting moments, oreo truffles, peanut butter blossoms, cream cheese sugar cookies, molasses cookies, cranberry-white chocolate cookies, fudge, haystacks, almond bark, turtle pretzels, and rosemary cashews. Wowsers. Yum.
