“No work is insignificant. All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence.” Martin Luther King. Jr.
Early mornings…late afternoons…some days, work is just plain work. It is too much. It drains me, exhausts me…pauses me to question my purpose in it all.
It makes me long for the lazy days of vacation, when the day is my own…to sleep without an alarm…to stay in my jammies, drinking coffee and reading to my heart’s content…to spend time with family and friends with no agenda or meetings to attend…to fill my time with the activities that I enjoy.
And yet, I will work.
I will dig deeply to make my work meaningful…to make things matter…to see the value…to demonstrate excellence.
